Carrying the Message

In response to A. P. Q.'s letter about "Unfriendly AA Groups" (November Grapevine)--I am a traveling salesman in five and a half states, and I've yet to receive anything but a royal welcome. Most of the time, a traveler has to phone to determine the hour and get directions to the meeting. Nine times out of ten, the AA answering the phone will ask me if I need transportation. When I attend a meeting without a prior phone call. I ask for the group's leader. The welcome and introductions that follow are fit for a foreign dignitary.
