It Was I Who Had to Change

The AA program teaches one to live in the world as it is

ALONG WITH the First Step, I had to admit that I used other behavior patterns, in addition to alcoholic drinking, to make my life unmanageable. Thanks to a period of sobriety in the AA program, I can now recognize some of the character defects that needed change. When I was floating through life in the cesspool of liquid realities, I really believed that I was okay; it was the world that was wrong.
