I'm new--two and a half months--and my first few meetings were pretty terrifying for me. But the warm concern everyone had for me (and still has) was overwhelming and reassuring. I wanted "what they had" so much, I listened with both ears to anything and everything they told me. But it was as if I had been given a sixth sense right from the first and could sense when I was getting advice that didn't ring true AA. I still listened, but clung to the members whose program showed in their hearts and faces.
