First-meeting Cautious

WHEN I ARRIVED, they were all sitting there, all ten of them relaxed and cheerful. I hunched my shoulders a little and narrowed my eyes, just in case there were any troublemakers lurking among them. I sat down as quickly as possible. The fellow next to me offered to get me a cup of coffee. I accepted as gracefully as I could without encouraging him too much (or next he'd be following me all over town).
