Practicing AA Principles
AROUND THE TABLES, after a while, you realize that you must get on with the business of practicing AA principles. You have been exposed to the ways others have done it; now you must do it. To me, the only musts in AA are those immediately following "I": I must not take the first drink; I must serve. All the AA expertise about recovery is worthless to the alcoholic unless he applies it to himself, through action.
