Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery
AS LONG AS we're on ethnic stories, you can ascribe any nationality you want to the main character in this one. The fellow not only wasn't very bright, but had never been more than a few miles away from the tiny hamlet where he lived. But an occasion arose that demanded he drive his old jalopy to a place about fifty miles away. He was intrigued with all the new sights along the way, including the signs at gas stations reading "Clean Rest Rooms."
