Because We Need One Another

Nobody can recover for us. But we still can't do it alone

My last gulps of alcohol were consumed only a couple of hours before I stumbled into my first Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. I expected to crouch in a corner and try to absorb "the message." So I was surprised when a man they called Sully clasped my hand and told me he was glad to see me. Then he led me to the coffee room, while a meeting went on in the main hall.
