Well, it finally happened. As has been my custom for many years, the other day at a busy Japanese port, I was going from one ship to another, delivering a small bundle to each. As I huffed and puffed up the gangway to a large Norwegian ship, I was tapped on the shoulder. "So sorry. Japanese customs." After I had shown my documents, etc., came the question "And what is in the bundle, please?"
