There are spiritual laws. We can struggle against them or harmonize with them
IN RETROSPECT, I see that three things led me to disbelieve in a Power greater than man's. To begin with, I was taught as a child to tack on to my nightly prayer ("Now I lay me down to sleep. . .") a closing list of the things I wanted. Down through the years, the vast majority of my wishes went unheeded, and this contributed to a gradual loss of faith.
