Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

SPEAKING OF SINGLE OCCURRENCES--an expert fisherman went angling one day, and by use of all the skill and craft he possessed, succeeded in catching a monstrous trout which had ignored the lures or broken the tackle of other sportsmen for years. As he was proudly carrying it alongside the stream, he met up with another angler, bleary-eyed and very much in his cups, who was holding a forked stick with half a dozen small fish on it.
