Gift of Faith

AT MEETINGS, I have never pooh-poohed the various "higher powers" held by some members: the power of the Fellowship itself, the planetary system, a doorknob or a door key, the world's beauty, or even one's married spouse. Perhaps my priestly training inclined me readily to accept God as my personal Higher Power. However, I have noted also that the precise word "God" is used in four of Bill W.'s Twelve Steps.
