Appeal from a nonalcoholic friend

The time has come for all of us working in this field of alcoholism to come together in order to talk, and to recognize and reorganize what we are really saying about this monumental problem of alcohol abuse. It is not enough to talk just about recovery. If, for instance, we are told that any amount of alcohol over 80 mgm per 100 m/l of blood shows a psychological impairment of human behavior and makes it dangerous to drive a car, then there must be equal impairment for the crane driver, the dock worker, the office manager, the machine operator, etc.
