With reference to "The Enablers" and "A Family Affair" in the October issue, I feel that most alcoholics--at least, this alcoholic--are very dependent people. I had to learn of my dependence the hard way. It was through my husband's death and the realization that I had lost my "anchor" that I gained my sobriety.
