We have to get well to realize how sick we were
IN RECENT months, the depth of my alcoholism has become increasingly vivid to me, though I have not had a drink for almost two years. Curiously, the longer I am sober, the more intense the memories of remorse, pain, fear, hate, and suicidal thoughts become.
