Hooked on books?

In the February issue, the articles "Traditional AA in the Traditional Way," by Anonymous, Wisconsin, and "What Is the AA Way?," by John W. North, started me on a new trend of thought. For the past 24 hours (six years of them), I have been reading two little books daily ("guide books," according to John W. North). There were days when I was forcing myself to read those books, because I thought I had to in order to live the AA way. After reading those two articles, I decided all I had done was to put down one crutch and pick up another--I had exchanged the booze for the books. So I thought I would put the books down, too.
