THE SECOND STEP suggests that maybe we didn't have all our buttons. That condition may account for the many anecdotes about lushes and their psychiatrists. In one of these, a dipso was told by his shrink that his problem was due to being in love with his umbrella. The poor fellow asked a friend what he thought about it. "Ridiculous!" answered his pal. "Who could be in love with an umbrella?"
