Relationships within AA

After reading "Give the Girl a Chance," by Anonymous of Charleston, W.Va., in the February Grapevine, I might add some thoughts of my own. Having been in AA for almost six years, I have come to realize a love for AA and the people in AA that borders on profound. One of my dearest friends in AA is a gal whom I love and respect sincerely. AA is not a lonely hearts club nor a singles' bar, where we sell our wares. It truly disturbs me to see AA used as such. There is also nothing wrong with a truly lasting relationship that occurs in AA, and I suppose that is where we separate the men from the boys. We will always have it, and AA will survive despite it.
