THE OLD-TIMER is like the weather. Everybody talks about him, but nobody does much about him--though not for lack of interest and concern. Hardly a meeting or gathering of AA members concerned about their group and the future of AA as a whole does not, sooner or later, arrive at the problem of the old-timer and what to do about him.
