I, for one, have learned to stop striving for perfection, for only God is perfect. I have learned to accept that fact, and my life is better. I have learned to have faith in a power greater than myself, whom I call God, and I have been restored to what is called sanity--at least, much more sanity than I ever had in my heretofore unmanageable life. The faith I have found has given me strength. The strength has enabled me to fill my needs for love and worth. I have friends now, whereas before I was alone and lonely, even with the few real and loving friends I had left. They did not understand me. Small wonder--I did not understand myself.
