Medication dulled her senses, so she was puzzled when A A. told her, "Don't chew your booze

"MY OWN STORY came back to me in a rush just now, during a phone conversation with a fellow AA who was complaining about her feeling that people don't like her. How I identified with that! She's been high on pills for the entire eight months she's been around the program. I told her my story, for I think I know the basis of her feeling of being disliked. It is the barrier that mood-changing pills can put between us and other people, and between us and our capacity to be honest with ourselves and others.
