A Plea for Age Distinctions
There's a plus in letting young people know that there are young people in AA
IN THE FALL of 1966, I attended my first AA meeting. I saw no one my age and immediately decided I was too young to be an alcoholic. Through the grace of God, I was allowed the privilege of coming back to AA in 1968 at the old age of twenty-three. At that point, I didn't care whether or not I saw anyone my age in AA. All I wanted was a way to stop drinking and taking pills.
