My Doctor, the Enabler

MANY TIMES, I had read or heard about "enablers" who helped the alcoholic to continue drinking. It was easy enough for me to see that nonalcoholic spouses, loving parents, concerned relatives and friends, well-meaning employers and co-workers, doctors, clergymen, governmental agencies, or financial aid could indeed keep the merry-go-round in motion.
