Don't Compare

He was seventy. . .but the teenaged AA member helped teach him. . .

MY FRIEND of many slips was seriously trying to explain the things that had driven him to drink and those that had sent him back to Alcoholics Anonymous so often. I believed him, and I understood. But when he tried to match our experiences identically, he couldn't do it.
