ANOTHER ANECDOTE about falling comes from the Squirrel Cage. It concerns an iron worker who had tumbled thirty feet down from some scaffolding and was being rushed to the hospital. On the way, the ambulance attendant asked the victim what his occupation was. "Ex-steeplejack" was the reply.
