I am most likely sober because of the way AAs in Pittsburgh and Reading, Pa., share their experience, strength, and hope with each other--and with others. There are about 150 AA meetings a week in the Pittsburgh area, and you would be hard pressed to find more than ten closed meetings. Thank God! Not only are the persons who first meet the alcoholic--clergy, clinicians, MDs, etc.--permitted to attend meetings, they are even encouraged to do so.
