The Alcoholic Celebrity

RECENTLY, I WAS invited to participate in a non-AA function at which a number of prominent "recovered alcoholics" stood up and identified themselves during a press conference and dinner. The purpose of this function was to give the general population--and the so-called hidden alcoholic--an opportunity to better understand the wide spectrum of society that is afflicted by alcoholism.
