It causes me great concern while attending many AA meetings in churches, schools, etc. (many with rugs on the floor) to see the carelessness of some members in regard to these properties. And I am not speaking of the new person who is still shaking. He seems to manage quite well with two hands. I am talking of a few members who have been around for some time. They usually do counseling service before and after the meeting while people are trying to clean up around them. They slop a little coffee here and there (without apparently noticing), stamp a cigarette butt on the floor while reaching for another sandwich. What an impression they leave, as sober members of AA!
