How a new group grew through faith and a willingness to go to any length

ABOUT FOUR years ago, eight people decided, for the fourth time, to start a group in our small town. We were hoping and praying all the way. Among us was a man, sober ten years, who had earlier agreed with me: "In God's time, there will be a group in this town." Jim had an optimistic outlook and strengthened our resolve with his determination and belief. Throughout the summer, we met once a week in a couple's family room, sharing our hope, strength, and sobriety, and occasionally having a new person join us.
