A friend and I recently talked about anonymity. He, being a police chief, recalled once interviewing a job applicant, who admitted being a recovered alcoholic. As a result, the man was removed from eligibility for the police officer position. While the chief was telling me this story, he was a patient in a hospital for chronic alcoholism.
