Those Material Blessings

MAYBE THE best way I can express how grateful I am to AA is just to tell the way things are now, in contrast with what my life used to be like. I'm going to list a lot of material items, and mention things I can do now, at the age of thirty-seven, that I could never do or enjoy while I was drinking. I suppose it will sound like bragging, but it's not. The credit goes to the AA program, not me. I'm not gloating--I'm grateful.
