MY NAME is Don and I'm an alcoholic. I fought the booze many a year, and was known as a good periodic drunk. I'd go a year, then get messed up. This particular time, I was in one of my most celebrated hangovers, after a two-week binge. Being home alone, with wife at work and kids at school, I thought I'd just end it all. I was shaking and in the cold and hot sweats.
