AROUND THE TABLES, after sufficient time to appreciate the wonderment of AA, I realized that there are no hopeless cases. Every night, a new person arrives in AA somewhere, and that hopeless and forlorn person has a chance to become a glorious expression of mankind. I look at myself, and I look at the others I have seen arrive, and I listen to the stories of those who came before me, and I know that everything is possible.
