Who's the doctor?
Back in 1974, a good AA member with several years of sobriety told me to stop taking my pills. She said I was getting flaky. Well, I was a little flaky, but it was only because I was new to the program and hadn't fully cleaned up yet. I talked to a doctor about my pills. He said they were necessary tranquilizers for me. I should have listened to that doctor, but I didn't! I listened to the woman, and I stopped the pills. They were for an emotional disorder.
