At an AA meeting in the metropolitan area recently, the speaker began his qualification with "My name is John Doe and I am a grateful alcoholic." He proceeded with his story of how he had stopped his drinking and was rewarded with this great gift of sobriety and how he works the program by helping other alcoholics to recover from alcoholism.
