THAT NEVER-SAY-DIE SPIRIT is exemplified by a Texas reader who sent us the same joke several times, finally in a letter hinting that we lacked an Irish sense of humor. The story was funny enough, but portions were contrary to the Grapevine code. However, we finally decided to change it somewhat, and we hope he'll be satisfied.
