Exclusive--Or More Inclusive?

SPECIAL-PURPOSE groups, or groups formed by specific types of people, are not new on the AA scene. All-male or all-female groups have flourished in many places for years without incurring too much criticism within the Fellowship. Many people go along with the idea that things some alcoholics want to talk about can be aired more honestly among members of their own sex. Others may not think this is important for themselves, but they are not generally inclined to question the sincerity of purpose of those who do think it important.
