On Living Drug-free

Mood-changers may not get us drunk, but they can certainly make us vulnerable

RECENTLY, while I was taking a college course on psychotropic drugs, the subject for the session was marijuana. Its relative "safety" in comparison to alcohol was brought up: It is physically nonaddicting; it produces no physical damage; and in those areas, it is indeed a far safer type of drug than is our devastator, alcohol.
