A couple of weeks before reading M. D. B.'s article on anonymity, I sent a note to the head of my company reminding him that we had not had lunch for a long time. I said any day would do except Thursday. Then, as a postscript, I wrote that I was the chairman of a lunchtime AA meeting on Thursdays. He has known for years about my AA membership, and we talk about it once in a while. He's a very honest, friendly guy.
