God Could and Would

Around the Tables

AROUND THE TABLES, a cry for deliverance from our illness is often heard when someone says, "I just don't know how to pray." Among the many aids on the path to prayer, a very significant one is "God could and would if He were sought." For me, the simplicity of that statement from the fifth chapter of the Big Book marks it as one of the most profound truths encountered in the art of AA living.
