IF THERE WAS a way for thirteenth-stepping to succeed, this inventive gal would know the gimmick, because I've surely tried. But the people who advise, "Don't. It doesn't work" are unfortunately correct. It doesn't. While it appears that men and women alcoholics miraculously have everything in common in countless areas, these seem to be the precise spots where that shoe will pinch unbearably once it's your shoe and must be worn daily.
