Letting Go

A mother frees "her little boy" to live his own life

I BECAME WILLING to go to any length to achieve sobriety. Over two years later, sober in AA, I had to become willing to let go of my son, now nineteen years old, or lose him forever. I had seen him occasionally during my drunken years, and I refused to think of him in any way other than "my little boy."
