I Am Not God

With sobriety come revelations

WHEN I ENTERED AA and took my first moral inventory, I found to my dismay I had been trying to run my life, not only through an alcoholic haze, but with a god complex as well. Because I worked harder than anyone else, sacrificed more, and handed hobnailed boots to anyone who wanted to walk on me, I thought I should be called Alcoholic, the Meek.
