Walter P. recovers

A few days ago, on my way to an AA meeting, I came across a pigeon that was hurt. I caught him and placed him on a ledge, away from the wind. After the meeting, I took him home. He looked in a sorry state. The feathers on his head had disappeared, and his sense of balance had left him. I called the vet the following day, explaining the symptoms. The doctor kindly told me that the bird had probably become intoxicated from eating mountain-ash berries! So here I was playing mother to a drunk bird!
