THE GREATEST rewards of sobriety for an alcoholic recovering in the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous often are the expressions of pride and gratitude he sees in others. How heartwarming to one who once lived in shame, regret, and remorse are the looks in the eyes of those who loved him loyally through all the horrors of drunkenness and now suddenly find themselves free of fear, frustration, and the sense of social disgrace.
