Once Over Lightly

AN AMERICAN LEGION convention and a big AA meeting were being held, in adjoining conference rooms of a large hotel. By mistake, the electrician got the two public address systems cross-connected. Later on, a burly, gray-haired veteran bellowed into his microphone, and, in soft tones, out came the words "My name is Agnes and I'm an alcoholic. I got drunk the first time a boy took me to a fraternity dance."
