Silent twelfth-stepping

Shortly after joining AA, I found myself involved in a deaf sign language class. Unsure myself of precisely why, and not knowing if I could even learn the language, I continued attending classes and the meetings of Communications Limited, the local AA group for the deaf. Through my involvement with this group, I became acutely aware of the severity of the problems faced by the deaf alcoholic.
