THEN THERE'S THE ONE about the two suburban housewives who were sitting at a bar. One asks, "Are you having another, Mildred?" and Mildred answers, "No, it's just the way my coat is buttoned." Contributor credits for duplicates of this gasser go to J. O. B., Camp Hill, Pa., and Charles McC., St. Louis. The latter also supplied an alleged quote by comedian Joe E. Lewis to the effect that he is absolutely not a steady drinker. "My hand shakes too much," he points out. . . . Incidentally, here's a quote from the Bible (Isaiah 51:22) supplied by R. Y., Ridgewood, N.J.: "Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling. . .thou shall no more drink it again."
