On this, the day I actually had my last drink twenty-five years ago, I sit down with pen and paper to place my emotions and thoughts in proper perspective. This day has brought to me a tremendous exaltation that I had not experienced before, and yet it is tempered by the leveling thought that it is really just another twenty-four hours in which to try to apply the principles of the AA program to my life.
