In my initial enthusiasm upon discovering AA, I was anxious for my teenage children to pick up as quickly as I did on the meetings, discussions, and general fellowship. I made a pest of myself nailing them down to hear tapes of speakers, pushed for them to come to the AA as well as Alateen meetings, and was disappointed when their enthusiasm was nil.
