A Quitter Who Joined

BEFORE I CAME into AA, I used to think I was enthusiastic about life. During my drinking days, I joined various clubs and organizations, but as soon as I found the rules weren't to my liking, I'd quit. After a number of years of joining and quitting, it finally dawned on me that I was a quitter, not a joiner. By this time, I had even made an unsuccessful attempt at quitting life.
